Hop, hop and awaaaayyyy!!

Well it's Easter and like most people I'm very much looking forward to a long weekend.
Of course if I had my life in order (the way I wish I did) I wouldn't need long weekends because I wouldn't be on the 5/7 week, 9-5 day ...ugh, that's me sighing and groaning accompanied by an over dramatic eye-roll!

But, too bad, so sad for me, and so a four day weekend is just what I'm ready for.  I was considering a quiet-ish four days spent mostly at home catching up on chores and getting my garden in order, not to mention finishing my online course.  But, me being me and all, I found me and master 10yo a sneaky last minute overnight stay in Bundanoon.  Not to mention, a bargain.  A beautiful guesthouse 'Yallambee B&B' set in a quiet street near the glow worm glen who I'm told serve up a very special breakky.

Bronwyn met us as we arrived and already we are nestled in with coffee, homemade cakes and hot cross buns and have all the comforts of a beautifully decorated home.  Our room is large and the ensuite bigger than my bedroom at home!  The linen and choice of pillows is quite simply amazing, and I love the fluffy robes for each us in the room.  There is even port and sherry in the lounge room for a night cap after the night walk to see the glow worms.  We have already met a couple who have been coming here every year for 12 years!!  It really is that lovely.

As you know I'm not one to sit still for too long.  Master 10yo and I will be hitting the breakfast hard and then straight to the bike shop early tomorrow. We've booked mountain bikes for the day and have planned to cycle the Morton National Park, with a steep hour and a half hike to the Fairy Bower Falls along the way.  Thank goodness we have a comfy place for the night!

I think I'll be heading now for a long, hot bath and reminding myself that this is why I need to get off that working treadmill and on to my own path.  A path that winds around the globe and takes me to the nooks and crannies of the World.  Yes, me, my path, the globe and my laptop ...and you, of course!! Happy Easter to all who celebrate and happy four day long weekend to all who don't.
